Sharjah Digital Integration Programme

SDIP
The Sharjah Digital Integration Programme (SDIP) is the Government of Sharjah’s flagship programme for accelerating digital transformation across the emirate. Led by Sharjah Digital Department, the programme provides the governance, frameworks, and shared capabilities required to enable coordinated digital transformation across government entities.
SDIP serves as the implementation platform for Sharjah’s Digital Transformation Strategy (2026–2028) and reflects the emirate’s ambition to build a human-centric digital ecosystem that improves government efficiency and enhances the quality of services provided to citizens, residents and businesses.

A Whole-of-Government Approach to Digital Transformation

The programme establishes a unified framework that aligns government entities around a shared digital vision while enabling collaboration, integration, and innovation across the public sector. Through SDIP, Sharjah Digital Department provides strategic leadership, digital infrastructure, and technical enablement, while government entities implement digital initiatives aligned with their mandates.

This collaborative model ensures that digital transformation is implemented in a coordinated manner across the government landscape.

Governance and Institutional Integration

A key pillar of SDIP is the establishment of strong governance mechanisms to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution. The Higher Committee for Digital Integration provides leadership oversight and guidance, enabling coordinated decision-making across government entities.

The programme is also supported by the Digital Cooperation Charter, which defines roles, responsibilities, and commitments between Sharjah Digital Department and government entities to ensure the successful implementation of digital transformation initiatives.

A Portfolio of Strategic Digital Initiatives

SDIP oversees the implementation of more than 50 digital initiatives designed to strengthen Sharjah’s digital capabilities across several priority domains, including:

  • Government digital services and channels
  • Data and artificial intelligence
  • Digital infrastructure and platforms
  • Cyber security and trust
  • Digital empowerment

These initiatives collectively aim to modernise public administration, enhance data-driven decision-making, and improve the overall experience of government services.
